House 4

By far the most livable, but the furthest from public transportation.

House 3

We couldn't get inside to see this one, so I just have exterior pictures (and one of a sign in the entryway).

House 2

We walked in on three women eating a meal together. One scowled and one smiled and one was expressionless. I didn't take many pictures.

House 1

An old man with slurred speech let us in. He was very kind.

"The basement is bad," he said, "but the upstairs is real nice."

The last photo is the upstairs bathroom. I regret not having taken one of the piss-smelling, sagging bed with blankets that hadn't been changed in years.

A Journey Through Pictures

It was hard for me to describe in words how the first day went. You expect shitty living conditions, but your low expectations are nothing compared to the interior. The first house was the worst and hopefully will continue to be the worst. I'll post the pictures and you can draw the conclusions.
